Actually Corp has received coverage from some of the world's most respected publications. Several of them reached out to us. The rest we reached out to. One of them we founded. We consider all coverage equally valid.

March 2026
In a landscape crowded with brands that know exactly what they do, Actually Corp has staked out a bold position: not knowing, but knowing it very confidently. We spent three weeks trying to understand their business model. We are no closer. We have never felt better about a company.
Q1 2026
We burned the Actually Candle™ for 40 hours in our test facility, which is an apartment. At hour 12, our senior reviewer described feeling "something." At hour 27, she described feeling "less of something, but in a good way." At hour 40, the candle was gone. She has since purchased two more. She cannot explain why. She does not want to.
February 2026
Actually Corp appears on this list. We reached out to Actually Corp for comment. They acknowledged our outreach. They did not provide a comment. We found this on-brand. We included them anyway. We stand by the inclusion.
April 2026
Our editorial team submitted 14 questions to Actually Corp regarding their business, their products, and their vision for the future. We received, in response, one Actually Candle™ and a handwritten note that read: "We think this answers your questions." It did not answer our questions. We gave it five stars.
January 2026
Actually Corp's anonymous founder was invited to give a TED Talk. They accepted. They prepared. On the day of the talk, they submitted a 47-slide deck and a request to present via pre-recorded audio "for reasons of intentionality." TED declined. The founder described this as "a creative difference." TED described it as "not how TED works." Both parties consider the relationship ongoing.
May 2026
We have been covering luxury for 22 years. We have interviewed founders, designers, and at least one person who described themselves as a "lifestyle architect." Nothing has prepared us for Actually Corp. Their water tastes like water. Their tote is a bag. Their candle is a candle. We cannot stop thinking about them. We are not sure this is healthy. We are not sure it matters.
Actually Corp has been recognized by a number of organizations. Some of these organizations existed before Actually Corp. We are proud of all of them equally, including the ones we founded.
Most Intentional Brand
The Institute for Brand Intentionality
Actually Corp was the only nominee. The Institute was founded the same week.
Excellence in Ambiguity
The Actually Corp Internal Awards Committee
Self-awarded. We stand by it. The trophy is a candle.
Best Pre-Launch Pivot
Disruption Quarterly Reader's Poll
Actually Corp received 11 votes. There were 11 approved applicants at the time. We have not investigated this.
Lifestyle Brand of the Year (Emerging)
The Emerging Lifestyle Brand Council
"Emerging" is defined by the Council as "has not yet shipped all products." By this definition, Actually Corp qualifies indefinitely.
The Quiet Confidence Award
Actually Corp (Inaugural)
This award did not exist before Actually Corp. Actually Corp created it. Actually Corp won it. We are considering making it annual.
Actually Corp maintains a 4.8-star average across platforms. We have 11 reviews. We have 11 approved applicants. We have not investigated this.
